IN HAIRFREE AND HAIRGROW CLINIC, IN THIS BIG FUE TECHNIQUE we usually do a Slit-making process first to know the exact requirements of grafts, and as pre-made slits will also reduce graft transit time and outside body time.
Sapphire Tip Blade:
In implantation hole size also matters as creating large holes will lead to less density of hair implanted and leads to poor density results as well it might damage surrounding existing hair follicles as well.
For implantation, in this technique holes/ slits/trans-channel created by micro sapphire blades are very small compared to the older technique which makes healing very faster and has less chance of surrounding existing hair follicle damage.

U S FDA APPROVED HARRIS OR ERTIP punches are sharp and serrated which creates very small holes to collect grafts with minimum damage to surrounding skin and hair follicles.
To win the battle against time, we do small sessions of graft Extraction and implantation rather than collecting all grafts at once, this way direct hair implantation (DHI) is made possible.
The main advantage of this is the healing of the donor area will be very fast and within a few days, the donor area will be unrecognizable from hair grafts being collected from the same area.

There are multiple external factors that determine how much the harvested graft survives like Infections, trauma by instruments, the extent of hydration, temperature control, and most importantly, the duration of hair follicles/grafts kept outside from the scalp (transfer time). If the transfer time is significantly reduced, the survival rate of hair follicles is greatly increased as it also has a positive influence on all the other factors.
Graft Storage Method Innovations:
Use of graft chiller technology to maintain the specific temperature of grafts as 4-6 °C temperature is ideal and room temperature of 20-25 °C. can reduce the survival rate of grafts by 1-2% every hour
Use of Patented Specific Growth Factors solutions / Hypothermosol to avoid metabolic damage to the grafts during storage while being implanted one by one back into the scalp again

In older techniques of FUT & FUE there are some challenges being faced, grafts are being inserted by using forceps and by creating large holes/slits in the recipient area. There are two major disadvantages in it, since grafts are being held by forceps, it may damage the delicate portion of roots that is hair bulb/ dermal papilla and the survival rate might go down,
In older techniques it also required large holes to insert grafts with forceps, higher density implantation is not possible, but angle and direction of hair also change with time leading to artificial-looking low-density outcomes.

While dressing the scalp we use collagen dressing for faster healing of the donor area and the least discomfort to the patient leading to early recovery
