Akram Tailor is 30 years old male from the Surat city in Gujarat state of India.
He had started hairfall complain since last 4 to 5 years ago. Initially, he feel his receding hairline. But he didn’t care so much of his hairfall. Later on, he had started prominantly noticing baldness in his front area with hairline lost completely since last 2 to 3 years.
At present in above photos you can notice level of baldness in his front area. This is called grade 3 level baldness. His middle and crown area has mild thining which requires no hair transplant.
Mild dandruff is also issue with Akram with occassional itching in the scalp. At present very mild active hair fall is going on.
His father also having baldness issue. So, Genetically he is more prone to hairloss.
Akram is not suffering from any medical issues such as high blood pressure, diabetes, asthma, or any other disease at present, his all blood investigations are normal, and he is not on any medication for any issues.
Akram had not done any major surgery in the body previously.
Patient has not any allergy to food or medicine.
He has no any history of keloid in the body.
Akram had taken some treatment for hairfall initially such as ayurvedic hait oils with no noticeable improvement in existing hairs. So, he had decided to do hair transplant to improve his overall look.
Before final surgery Akram had consulted to Dr. Jinkal Kunjadiya, a famous dermatologist at our Surat branch of Hairfree Hairgrow clinic. Dr. Jinkal explained everything about hair transplant in detail with all advantages and disadvantages of all technique.
Akram’s expectation and result from hair transplant surgery also explained. After a thorough understanding of hair transplant, Akram got ready with the surgery at Surat branch of HFHG clinic.
Akram Tailor’s hair transplant was done on 16th February 2021 with I-FUE that is Implanter FUE technique. 5 PRP was also advised after hair transplant at 2 months interval in 1 year as a part of hair care and maintainace.
He was also treated with supplements, DHT blocker and Minoxidil 5% solution post-transplant to maintain and grow his existing as well as transplanted hairs.
Dr. Jinkal Kunjadiya and his team planned the surgery properly. Hairline with front area was marked as seen in below photographs. Middle and crown area not marked as it doesn’t required any hair transplant at present.
Trichoscopy analysis also done to check donor area hair quality and exiting hair quality in recepient area. Patient’s donor area is in good condition and hair quality is thick, straight, and blackish in color.
Then after anesthesia skin sensitivity test done and he found non allergic to anesthesia content. So, Akram was safe for the surgery.
Afterwords, Patient’s head shaved for procedure and cleaned with betadine and alcohol.
Now Akram was taken in the operation theater for hair transplant and local modified block anesthesia was given with pain less technique to minimize the pain during anesthesia. Akram felt very less to no pain during anesthesia procedure.
Slit making done by the doctor team with Dr. Jinkal using Metal Saphhire tip blade and the size of blade is 1.2 for hairline and 1.4 for rest areas using magnifying loupe. Making slit that is small incision in the recepient or bald area with proper angle and the direction is very important for natural look of the transplanted hair and all slits were properly exercised by our expert doctor.
Extraction of grafts carefully done by expert doctor using magnifying loupe and 0.8 mm sharp serrated sterile titanium punch used for this procedure.
Total 3400 grafts were extracted and about 150 to 160 minutes was taken to extract all grafts and stored at 4* degree temperature in graft chiller machine using RL solution.
The extracted grafts of Akram was thick, medium size long, black in color. Double rooted grafts are more in quantity. 20% was single rooted grafts and rest 80% was multiple root grafts which contain triple root grafts also that is average in numbers compared to double root grafts. So, he will get more benefits in terms of density.
In the final step all the extracted grafted were implanted into the slit made in bald area. The implantation is very important step and was completed using K.E.E.P implanter of various size for single and multiple Follicular Units grafts to minimize damage to the graft roots. Approximate Time taken for implantation was three and half hours.
Finaly, hair transplant of Akram was complete now and you can watch his post-transplant look after dressing in the below given photos, Necessary medicines was given to prevent infection and pain and all precautions explained in detail.

Akram was under shedding phase for first 2-3 months after hair transplant. In shedding phase hair shaft shed out but root was fixed under the skin. By this time around 60% to 70% implanted hair shaft fall out and this is normal. So, no need to worry. After 2 months of transplant, first PRP was given. Exiting hair in middle and crown area shown good response to PRP and medication.
Donor area skin healed completely by the end of 30 days and hair density looks normal by the end of 2-3 months in the donor.
The growth phase of Akram started after 3 months. At this phase implanted hairs started coming out of the scalp slowly. At every month around 20% – 25% transplanted hair grows.
At end of 6 months implanted hairs grown fully achieving neared 80% of result. 2nd and 3rd PRP was given to boost transplanted as well as exiting hairs at interval of 2 months. After 5 months of transplant, Akram had done his haircut. Initially, transplanted hairs are thin but by the time it also get thickened. Akram was fully satisfied with it.
Full hair transplant result of Akram Tailor was achieved at 10-11 months. You can see the pictures below. Here patient is able to do any hair style. Patient had 2-3 haircut of donor area as well as of transplanted hairs. No major medical care given now, patient asked to continue minoxidil and do booster PRP at interval of 3-4 months for maintaining exiting hair.
As the final result achieved, Akram was very happy and fully satisfied with the treatment and post-operative follow-up care provided.
