Satish Ghinaiya had grade 2 of baldness with amazing successful hair transplant journey with us. Let’s discuss his case study with photographs.
Satish Ghinaiya is a 32 years old male from diamond city Surat in the Gujarat state of India.
Satish was suffering from 2nd grade of baldness since last 2 to 3 years. But he had started hairfall complaint 3 to 5 years ago. At present patient had lost his hairline with front area baldness. But his top and crown area is in good condition.
Along with hairloss patient had no major issues in the scalp area except mild dandruff with dryness.
Genetically he has maternal side history of baldness but late onset of hairloss. So, genetically he is more prone to hairloss.
Satish is not suffering from any medical conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, or any other disease at present nor taking any medicines.
Previously Satish was not undergone for any major surgery in the body.
Patient has not any allergy history to food or medicine.
Patient has no any keloid on the body.
For his baldness, Satish Ghinaiya had not taken any major treatment in the past except some ayurvedic hair oil without much improvement in the bald condition. So, he stopped use of such oils in the scalp.
Satish Ghinaiya came across many hair transplanted patients at our Hairfree Hairgrow clinic with amazing good results. He was motivated to do hair transplant after seeing such amazing results. Then he consulted to Dr. Brijesh Patel who is a famous dermatologist and hair transplant surgeon at Surat branch of Hairfree Hairgrow clinic.
He was guided with all details about hair transplant, and his hair health conditions. Doctor also discussed his expectations, and given a thorough knowledge about results of hair transplants. Satish understood all the details and satisfied with the proper consultation by the doctor. Now Satish is ready for the surgery.
Satish Ghinaiya’s hair transplant was planned on 19th May 2020 using Advance-FUE technique with suggestion of post-hair transplant PRP at two months of interval and medication for maintainance.
In 2nd grade baldness proper hairline planning is very very important. So, proper planning and hairline design was done by Dr. Brijesh Patel and the team. Hairline and front area was marked for transplantation as seen in the images below. Top and Crown area requires no transplant.
Donor area was checked in Dermascopy to access hair quality. Patient’s donor area is in good condition and hair quality is also good with black color hairs.
Afterwards, anesthesia skin sensitivity test done and Satish Ghinaiya found non allergic to medicines used for anesthesia.
Later on, Satish’s whole head was shaved for procedure and cleaned with betadine.
Now it’s time for Satish Ghinaiya to go in the operation theater for hair transplant and first step was slit making. For that local modified block anesthesia was given with painless technique.
Anesthesia pain was very well tolerated by Satish and only little bit pain just like ant bite was there only during procedure. After that, no pain was there. Patient had very good experience of painless anesthesia.
After completion of anesthesia, now it’s time to make slit that is small holes in the bald area. Slit making was done by expert hair transplant surgeon team with Dr. Brijesh using Metal Saphhire blade and the size of blade is 1.2 for hairline and 1.4 for rest areas using magnifying loupe.
During making slit, a special care was taken to give proper angle and direction of the slit. So that his transplanted hair grows in perfect angle and direction with natural looking hairline.
Now, it’s time to extract grafts from donor. Extraction of grafts carefully done by expert doctor using magnifying loupe and 0.8 mm sharp serrated sterile titanium punch used for extraction.
The extracted grafts were stored at 4* degree temperature in graft chiller machine dip using RL solution which prevents damage to the extracted grafts in outside atmoshere.
Total time taken for extraction was around 100 to 110 minutes and total 2704 grafts were extracted.
If we classify the Graft analysis of Satish Ghinaiya, it was medium thick and medium size long grafts, black in color. 20% was single rooted grafts and rest 80% was multiple root grafts containing double and triple rooted grafts from all extracted grafts.
The final step is implantation of extracted grafted into the incisions made.
The Graft insertion was done by using K.E.E.P implanter which is advance tool and various sizes of KEEP were used for different sizes of grafts. Approximate Time taken for implantation was 130-140 minutes.
After completion of implantation dressing was done, post procedure medicines given and all precautions explained in detail. You can watch after transplant look in below given images.

First 3 months of post-transplant patient was under shedding phase. Almost every patient observes the shedding phase which is normal. But all the transplanted hairs didn’t shed at a time. Every month 20-30% of hair shedding happens.
First shedded hairs grows first. During this phase 1 PRP was given after 2 months of transplant. Donor area hair density looked normal by the end of 2-3 months in the donor.
After 3 months shedded hairs again grows and at the end of 6 months almost 70% to 80% growth was achieved. But length of each hair was not similar.
After 6 months, Satish Ghinaiya’s look was completely changed due to good result of hair transplant. 1 PRP was given at 4th month and 1 PRP was given at 6th months after transplant.
Full hair transplant result of Satish Ghinaiya was achieved at 9-10 months. You can see the pictures given below. Satish Ghinaiya was asked to continue minoxidil and supportive multivitamins. Booster PRP was done at every 3 months interval now onwards for maintaining transplanted hairs.
