Today we have a review with hair transplant journey of our patient Kishalaya. We will share his case study in this article.
Kishalaya is 35 years old male from bihar in India and doing a job in the city.
He is suffering from hairfall problem since more than 7 years. He had started noticing baldness of grade 6 level since last 5 to 6 years ago. At present he had lost his hairline competly as well thining from front to crown area.so he is requiring refilling transplant.
Along with hairloss he is also suffering from mild dandruff and mild active ongoing hair fall.
Genetically he has maternal side history of baldness but late onset of hairloss. So, genetically he is more prone to hairloss.
Kishalaya is not suffering from any medical conditions such as blood pressure, diabetes or any other disease
Previously Kishalaya was not undergone for any major surgery in the body
Patient has not any allergy to food or medicine.
Patient has no any keloid in the body.
Kishalaya had not taken any hairfall related treatment. He had watched our videos on instagram and youtube and impressed with the results of our patients. Therefore, he decided to do hair transplant surgery at our Surat branch of HFHG clinic.
Finally, he had consulted to Dr. Jinkal Kunjadiya, a renowed dermatologist and hair transplant surgeon at our Surat branch. He was given a thorough knowledge about hair transplant, and hair health conditions of kishalaya, discussed his expectations, results of hair transplants with all advantages and disadvantages.
After a thorough understanding of hair transplant surgery, Kishalaya got ready with the surgery. And finally, the he was taken for hair transplant procedure.
Kishalaya’s hair transplant was done on 28th december 2021 using I-FUE technique. Post-transplant he was advised 2 PRP at 3 months interval in 6 months along with supplements, DHT blocker and Minoxidil 5% solution to maintain and grow his existing as well as transplanted hairs.
Hairline design was done by Dr. Jinkal Kunjadiya as per patient desire and Hair loss condition of patient.
Also, Trichoscopy analysis done to check donor area hair quality and exiting hair quality in recepient area. Patient’s donor area is good and hair quality is thick and long in length black hair.
Then after anesthesia skin sensitivity test done and found non allergic to anesthesia content.
Afterwords, Patient head shaved for procedure and cleaned with betadine.
Now Kishalaya was taken in the operation theater for hair transplant and local modified block anesthesia was given with vibration painless technique.
Slit making done by expert hair transplant surgeon team using metal Saphhire tip blade and the size of blade is 1.2 for hairline and 1.4 for rest areas using magnifying loupe. It is a very important step and the angle and the direction of the slit need to be taken care. So that there will be natural looking hairline and hairs will grow in proper direction.
Extraction of grafts carefully done by expert doctor using magnifying loupe and 0.8 mm sharp serrated sterile titanium punch used for extraction.
Around 90 to 100 minutes time taken for exctracting the grafts.
If we classify the Graft analysis of kishalaya, it was thick hairs, black in color. Double rooted grafts are more in quantity. Among all extracted grafts 10% was single rooted grafts and rest 90% was multiple root grafts containing double and triple rooted grafts. Kishalaya has also good number of 3 rooted grafts. So, he will get more benefits in terms of density. Total 4290 grafts were extracted.
The extracted grafts were stored at 4* degree temperature in graft chiller machine dip in RL solution.
The final step is implantation of extracted grafted into the slit made. The Graft insertion was done by using K.E.E.P implanter of various size for 1,2,3 FU grafts. Approximate Time taken for implantation was 3 to 3 and half hours.
After completion of implantation dressing was done, post procedure medicines given and all precaution explained in detail. Personal follow up doctor’s number was given, so that proper follow up can be taken and if there is any query, patient can directly call to the doctor.

After post hair transplant procedure first 1 to 1 and half months patient was under shedding phase were majority implanted hair fall out. All the hairs didn’t shed at a time. During this phase 1 PRP were given at 2 and half months interval. Exiting hair in middle area shown good response to PRP & medical treatment. And his hairfall of existing hairs stopped.
Donor area skin heals completely by the end of 1 month & hair density looks normal by the end of 2 months in the donor.
This phase starts at 2 and half months. Now slowly implanted hairs started sprouting filling the blank areas in hairline and front area. 2nd PRP was given to boost transplanted hair growth and exiting hairs at 4and half months. Trimmed existing hairs almost achieved full density look at the end of 3rd month.
This phase starts at around 6 months. During these months implanted hairs started growing fast with almost more than 90% density, though length of each hair is not similar, but with small hair length hairstyle patient is comfortable and satisfied. 1 booster PRP was given at this phase at 9 months.
Full hair transplant result of Kishalaya was achieved at 11 months. Here patient is able to do any hair style. Patient had 3-4 haircut in donor area and front area as well. Patient asked to continue minoxidil & if required do booster PRP as per need in future for maintaining exiting hair.
As the final result achieved, patient was very happy and fully satisfied with the treatment protocol provided. Now, Kishalaya enjoys his desirable hair transplant results with full confidence when he is in social. You can watch his result photos below.
