Is Volumnizer bad for Hair?

Hair volumizers are used to temporarily add volume, body, and shine to thin or flat hair. Men turn to hair volumizers to make their hair look denser. Volumizers come in many forms such as shampoos, conditioners, sprays, pomades and lotions. They attract moisture from surrounding area to the hair shaft, thus causing it to look bigger. When Hair Becomes to Thin, Hair Volumizers are suggested to be used, to clone hair. Hair volumizers contain humectants which attracts and retains the moisture in the air nearby via absorption, drawing the water vapour into or beneath the organism’s or object’s surface. Various polymers present in the volumizers coat the hair strand, making it look thicker and shiny. Such are the benefits of Volumizers that they are cheaply available and mass produced. They have shown to give results, but unless you get a formal check-up from a doctor, you shouldn’t go ahead with it!

The hydrating property can also be needed to counteract a dehydrating ingredient present within a product, which is why humectants are common ingredients in a wide range of cosmetic and personal care products that make moisturisation claims. But there are also studies which show the negative sides of Volumizers. Many volume-building hair products contain paraffin, which is beeswax. That’s not good for hair, because it builds up and can make hair break.

There are different types of Volumizers. Some of the most common ones are:

Root Lifting Spray :

Root lifting spray focuses on the first inch of the hair as it is growing out of the scalp to create volume and density. It pulls the hair away from the scalp to create the illusion of fullness. The looks created by these are good, but these are not readily available throughout our Indian Market.

Volumizing Cream :

A Volumizing cream or serum focuses on the hair shaft to give volume throughout, using polymers to coat each fibre and add subtle stiffness. Once it dries, each hair pushes against the other, adding temporary volume. We recommend that you use a combination of the spray and the cream to target the root and the mid-lengths of hair in order to achieve the desired volume.

Volumizing Shampoo and Conditioner :

These are the common used volumizers. Since most shampoos and conditioners leave behind a residue to optimize hydration, they also weigh down fine hair. Volumizing alternatives are unique to many cleansing and conditioning products because they cleanse without adding weight, but they don’t add volume of their own. Volumizers of any type can be effective, but as there are certain chemicals like Paraffin etc. which we know can do more bad then good. Thus we have to be careful and first get the best doctor’s consultation and only then go forward with using it. But the Volumizers may not work, there is always a chance for that, but Hair Free and Hair Grow will work 100% for your hair. Best Surgical and Non-Surgical treatments available with us.
